Top Tier Characters

These characters are the best of the bunch:

1. Hyacine

Hyacine takes the top spot as the best character in Honkai Star Rail 3.7. She follows the Remembrance Path and excels at keeping your team alive while contributing to damage output.

What makes Hyacine special is her memosprite companion, Ica. Together, they provide powerful healing that outperforms most Abundance units in the game. But Hyacine doesn’t stop at healing. She can also deal decent damage to enemies, which is incredibly valuable in the current endgame content.

With enemies having massive HP pools in recent updates, having a support character who can both heal and attack makes Hyacine a must-pull unit for any player looking to strengthen their roster.

2. Castorice

Castorice ranks as the second-best character available in version 3.7. If you missed her debut in version 3.2, this is your chance to add one of the game’s strongest damage dealers to your team.

Key advantages of Castorice include:

  • Massive burst damage output with her memosprite, Netherwing
  • Works well even without premium teammates
  • Easy to build (focus on HP stats and maintain decent crit ratio)
  • Performs excellently in various endgame activities

Whether you’re a free to play player or someone with a smaller character collection, Castorice will deliver results. Her straightforward building requirements make her accessible to everyone.

3. Tribbie

Tribbie claims the third spot as one of the best Harmony characters in Honkai Star Rail. She brings a unique combination of damage amplification and offensive capability to any team.

Her kit provides RES PEN buffs, which are extremely valuable against the high-HP enemies featured in current endgame content. Few Harmony units in the game have access to these powerful buffs, making Tribbie stand out from the crowd.

Mid Tier Characters

While these characters are still great, they’re not as effective as the S-tier characters:

4. Phainon

When Phainon was announced way back in 3.4, everyone was extremely excited for his release. And his kit did not disappoint, because he is still one of the best DPS characters in the game thanks to how much damage he can deal.

What sets Phainon apart is his survivability. He can regain HP while in his exclusive Territory, which means you often don’t need a dedicated healer on your team. This self-sustain ability gives you more flexibility when building team compositions.

If you need a strong damage dealer who can handle himself in tough fights, Phainon is worth considering.

5. Cyrene

image 4

Cyrene is the featured character in Honkai Star Rail 3.7, but she doesn’t quite live up to expectations. As a Remembrance character, she grants buffs to all Chrysos Heirs. However, these buffs aren’t as strong as what universal amplifiers already in the game can provide.

The main issue with Cyrene is that her kit feels restricted. While her E2 (Eidolon 2) solves many of these problems, most free-to-play players won’t be able to reach that level. This limitation is why she ranks only fifth despite being the patch’s main focus.

6. Cipher

image 5

Cipher is one of the few Nihility characters introduced during the version 3.x updates. Her kit allows her to make enemies vulnerable while tracking the damage they take. She can then use that accumulated damage to finish off opponents.

Beyond her standard team compositions, Cipher pairs well with Archer. Since Archer is a free character, every player should have access to this combination. While Cipher is useful, there are stronger options available in this patch.

Lower Tier Characters

These characters fall short on the list but can still be used with good stats:

7. Mydei

image 8

Mydei ranks last among the Honkai Star Rail 3.7 characters. While he’s a decent damage dealer, he hasn’t gained much popularity since his debut.

His kit features unique auto-battle mechanics that use his abilities to their fullest potential. However, his damage output falls short compared to other DPS units available in this patch, particularly Phainon and Castorice.

If you’re watching your Stellar Jade budget, it’s better to skip Mydei and focus on the stronger damage dealers instead.
